November — My Medium Earning Stats

Here’s how much I made in November.

I don’t normally do these types of posts. But they’re everywhere on Medium at the start of a new month. So, without further ado, here’s my November update.

While it’s nice to make money — and it definitely is a great motivation to keep going — it’s not my primary reason for being on Medium. I write for creative self-expression, trying to discover myself. I don’t know about you, but I find writing incredibly difficult. It doesn’t come naturally to me. I struggle with perfectionism.

Maybe it’s because I’ve hit mid-life now that I’m in my 40s, but I’m questioning my path in life. I’ve spent decades honing my skills as an IT professional. I love computers — I really do — but I feel like I’ve reached the pinnacle of that profession. Now there’s a void I need to fill.

At the start of 2024, I set a goal to read 30 books this year. I didn’t quite make it. I’ve read 17 books, but in recent weeks my output has exploded. I read 5 books in November alone. Something transformative is happening to me, but the crescendo hasn’t been realised yet.
